Before coming to Evergreen, Mr. Laenger served as the Head of School at Veritas Classical Academy in Beaumont, Texas for eight years.  At Veritas, Mr. Laenger oversaw the growth of Veritas from 23 students to over 220 on two campuses.  Additionally, Mr. Laenger led Veritas through accreditation with the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Classical Latin School Association (CLSA).  In previous Christian schools he has served in administration and taught theology, logic, Latin, rhetoric, worldviews, apologetics, history, and government at the secondary level.

Aaron grew up in Lufkin, Texas where he graduated from Lufkin High School and came to faith in a Southern Baptist church.  He met his wife Misty in the Foreign Language lab at East Texas Baptist University.  They have a love of traveling and have had international experiences, including personal, vocational, and missions-related travel to China, Palestine, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada.  The Laenger family enjoys the outdoors - especially in Colorado where they hike, fish, camp, and relax.  However, they would say their greatest adventure yet is raising their son, Isaiah, who attends ECS.

Mr. Laenger’s family attends Christ Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Texas and currently reside in the city of Conroe with their 6 chickens.
